Our mission:
To preserve, enjoy and share with the public the memory, history and experience of railroading, particularly Texas railroading, as it has been and as it is now. Gulf Coast Chapter - NRHS strives to fulfill its mission at the Houston Railroad Museum, 7390 Mesa Dr. in Houston, Texas. The museum, open every weekend from April to November, features an interesting collection of railroad locomotives, cars and other artifacts, as well as a model railroad and research library. For more information, use the links at left. The Houston Railroad Museum is open Saturdays through Nov. 6, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Click here for location and other information.
Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 12 and under. Please note: We do not accept credit cards at this time. We accept cash or checks only. Gulf Coast Chapter NRHS/Houston Railroad Museum will sponsor the Big Texas Train Show on Oct. 16-17, 2010, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. Click here for details.
