 Houston Railroad Museum Mission Statement:
To preserve, enjoy and share with the public the memory, history and experience of railroading, particularly Texas railroading, as it has been and as it is now.

 Gulf Coast Chapter - NRHS strives to fulfill its mission at the Houston Railroad Museum, 7390 Mesa Rd. in Houston, Texas.  The museum, open every weekend from April to November, features an interesting collection of railroad locomotives, cars and other artifacts, as well as a model railroad and research library.  For more information, use the links at left.
 
The museum is open from early April until the first weekend in November, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 12 and under.

Our annual Open House is held the first weekend in November.

We are conducting a fundraising campaign in support of the restoration of the Good Cheer, the former KCS tavern-lounge-observation car owned by Gulf Coast Chapter, NRHS, Inc.  Click here to download a PDF donation/pledge form and a Good Cheer 2008 Calendar!

Boy Scout Railroading Merit Badge Programs are conducted at the Houston Railroad Museum.  Next workshop date:  TBA
